Ingredients:
1 leafsup pack, thawed
6 tomatillos, husked and rinsed
2 serrano peppers, stemmed
1/2 small onion, roughly chopped
2 cloves of garlic
Juice of 1 lime
1/2 cup fresh cilantro leaves
1/2 an avocado, pitted and peeled
Salt to taste
Instructions:
Preheat the broiler in your oven.
Place the tomatillos and serrano peppers on a baking sheet lined with foil. Broil for about 5 minutes, turning them halfway through, until they are slightly charred and softened. Keep a close eye on them to avoid burning.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the tomatillos and serrano peppers cool slightly.
In a blender or food processor, add the broiled tomatillos, serrano peppers, chopped onion, garlic cloves, lime juice, cilantro leaves, ripe avocado, and leafsup pack.
Blend the ingredients until you achieve a smooth and well-combined consistency. If you prefer a chunkier texture, pulse the blender a few times instead of continuous blending.
Taste the salsa verde and season with salt according to your preference. Add a little at a time, blending and tasting after each addition, until you reach the desired balance of flavors.
Transfer the salsa verde to a serving bowl or container.
Allow the flavors to meld together by refrigerating the salsa for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will enhance the taste and give the ingredients time to infuse.
Serve your fresh and tangy salsa verde with leafsup alongside tortilla chips, tacos, grilled meats, or any dish that calls for a burst of zesty flavor.
Note: You can adjust the heat level of the salsa verde by adding more or fewer serrano peppers, depending on your spice tolerance. Additionally, feel free to customize the recipe by adding more cilantro, lime juice, or other ingredients to suit your taste preferences.
